About Dr. Berasi
Hello!
I’m Dr. Kateri Berasi, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder and clinical director of Transcendent Self Therapy. I work with a limited number of clients who are drawn to depth-oriented psychotherapy and are ready to engage thoughtfully in the work of self-understanding and change.
Deeply curious about people, cultures, and inner landscapes, I am especially drawn to questions of identity—how we come to understand who we are, and how we express that understanding in the world. Many of the people I work with are creatives, leaders, clinicians, and individuals in periods of transition—people who are highly reflective, emotionally nuanced, and seeking more than symptom relief.
My clinical approach is relational, collaborative, and exploratory, with an emphasis on understanding patterns as they unfold in real time. I believe therapy is most powerful when it is spacious, attuned, and taken seriously. For this reason, my practice is intentionally small, allowing for depth, continuity, and care.
Creative expression is central to both my life and my work. In my personal life, travel, engaging with and creating art, music, dance, and spending time in nature are essential ways I stay in contact with depth—both within myself and in the larger universe. These experiences shape how I understand psychological growth as something alive, evolving, and deeply creative.
My passion for exploration has informed both my personal journey and my clinical work. Having lived abroad, I bring a spirit of openness, curiosity, and cultural sensitivity into the therapy room. With warmth and careful attunement, I support clients in exploring their inner worlds to cultivate self-trust and discover new ways of living with clarity, meaning, and authenticity.
