About Pericles

Hello!

I believe that many of our struggles begin to soften when they are understood rather than judged. I offer a therapeutic relationship where curiosity can take the place of self-criticism, creating space for greater insight, healing, and lasting change.

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity, intimacy, self-worth, and questions of meaning and belonging. Many of my clients are thoughtful, curious, and psychologically minded people who have spent years trying to understand themselves, yet continue to feel stuck in recurring emotional or relationship patterns. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including immigrants and those navigating life between cultures, as well as clients exploring sexuality, spirituality, and alternative relationship structures.

I understand emotional suffering not simply as something to eliminate, but as something to listen to. Together, we explore the ways early relationships, attachment, culture, family history, and lived experience continue to shape the present. Rather than offering quick solutions, I help clients cultivate greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the capacity to relate to themselves and others with greater compassion, authenticity, and freedom.

I earned my Master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, one of the country’s leading graduate programs in holistic and humanistic psychotherapy. My training emphasized the integration of mind, body, culture, spirituality, and relationships, shaping the way I understand healing as both deeply personal and inherently relational. I am also a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through Dharma Moon and Tibet House US, and I integrate psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, transpersonal psychology, and Eastern contemplative practices into my clinical work.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the contemporary art world in leadership and archival roles. That experience continues to shape the way I listen—with patience, openness, and an appreciation for nuance, creativity, and the many ways people communicate what cannot always be expressed directly. In therapy, I bring this same attention to the subtle, symbolic, and often unspoken dimensions of experience, helping clients find language for what has long felt difficult to name.
