Sofya Yedigarian, Ph.D. (she/her)

Dr. Yedigarian’s therapeutic approach is rooted in a culturally sensitive, queer-affirming framework. She works with concerns such as identity development, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the difficulties that stem from both everyday stress and deeper emotional wounds. In every area of focus, she helps clients uncover their strength, resilience, and capacity for growth. She is especially attuned to the complexities of intersecting identities and how they shape each person’s journey, and she specializes in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals as well as those navigating identity-related concerns.

She believes that healing and growth occur when your unique story is honored. Her style is integrative, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities to best meet your needs. Whether you are exploring how past experiences shape the present through psychodynamic principles or fostering self-acceptance and personal growth through a client-centered approach, her goal is to help you move forward on your own terms.

Dr. Yedigarian earned her Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling and her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University. She brings experience from college counseling, inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings, where she has supported individuals across the lifespan facing daily stressors, substance use, acute and complex trauma, and severe mental illness.

She is also committed to making therapy as accessible as possible. Whether you prefer virtual sessions or in-person meetings at her Williamsburg office, she is committed to tailoring the process to fit your lifestyle and needs. Therapy should feel convenient, comfortable, and empowering, and she works to ensure you feel supported as you pursue your goals.

Above all, she views therapy as a collaborative process and would be honored to walk alongside you on your path to self-discovery.
