Tanya Marwaha, MHC-LP (she/her)

Tanya is a South Asian immigrant therapist who hopes to support you in the courageous work of getting to know yourself more deeply. With a dual master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and an Advanced Certificate in Sexuality, Women and Gender from Columbia University, she aims to create a warm, gentle, and safe space where her clients are welcomed, explored, and celebrated in their entirety. Her practice is rooted in multicultural, anti-oppression, and anti-capitalist frameworks. Working in collaboration with her clients, she utilizes theory and techniques best suited to their unique experiences and goals.

Tanya offers individual, couples, and group therapy to people with all identities, abilities, and bodies. She supports clients navigating various mental health concerns, interpersonal and relationship challenges, and life transitions. Tanya is also passionate about working with those experiencing concerns with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image, as well as members of the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and immigrant communities. She draws from prior experience working in college settings and at an eating disorder treatment center. Tanya allows her strong sense of intuition, unending curiosity about the human experience, and desire for discovery and change to guide her work. 

Tanya offers sessions virtually and in person. She is fluent in English and Hindi and emphasizes culturally informed and sensitive care for all.
