Welcoming Shreeja Vachhani, LMSW, to Transcendent Self Therapy!

We are delighted to welcome Shreeja Vachhani, LMSW, to the Transcendent Self Therapy team.

Shreeja approaches therapy as a deeply collaborative and relational process, one rooted in curiosity, authenticity, and the belief that meaningful healing begins when we feel safe enough to encounter ourselves more fully. Her work is grounded in the understanding that our emotional patterns, relationships, and ways of moving through the world are shaped not only by who we are, but by our histories, family systems, cultural environments, and the adaptations we developed along the way.

Drawing from psychodynamic, attachment-focused, somatic, experiential, and trauma-informed approaches, Shreeja helps clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves while cultivating greater self-compassion, emotional clarity, and embodied awareness. She is particularly interested in the intersection of trauma, attachment, and the nervous system, and supports clients in exploring the ways past experiences continue to influence present-day relationships, identity, and wellbeing.

Shreeja works with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, burnout, life transitions, family-of-origin concerns, cultural identity, bicultural experiences, relationship challenges, and questions of self-worth and belonging. She also enjoys helping clients reconnect with creativity, authenticity, and parts of themselves that may have become hidden or protected over time.

A former Post-MSW Fellow at the Mary A. Rackham Institute Psychological Clinic at the University of Michigan, Shreeja brings a strong foundation in integrative psychotherapy, trauma-informed care, and relational healing. She is also a research-informed clinician with published work focused on mindfulness, emotional wellbeing, developmental neuroscience, and trauma-informed systems of care.

As a bicultural clinician, Shreeja brings sensitivity to the ways culture, identity, intergenerational experiences, and larger social systems influence mental health. She offers therapy in English, Hindi, and Gujarati and is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients can explore themselves with greater complexity, compassion, and freedom.

At Transcendent Self Therapy, we are passionate about connecting clients with therapists whose approach resonates with their unique needs and experiences. We are thrilled to have Shreeja join our community and look forward to the care, insight, and warmth she will bring to our practice.
